My Experience With Medication

Keep in mind everyone reacts to medication differently. Lots of people also prefer not to use medication which is perfectly okay too. Personally I have struggled finding any luck with medication. The process can be very draining because medication is all trial and error and unfortunately it usually takes weeks for it to start working, if it even does. Unfortunately, I usually have a paradoxical reaction to many medications. I have very little luck with anything labeled under antidepressant. I have found most of my success with mood stabilizers. If it was supposed to make me sleepy, I’d be up all night and if it was supposed to keep me calm I would be extremely irritated. Many medicines also come with side effects such as headaches, nausea, stomach aches, blood pressure effects, etc.  Some worked, but only temporarily or they had negative effects when the doses increased. I was on one medication I believe helped me most called Lithium, but after being on it for a couple of years, it caused Lithium Induced Thyroiditis. So I had to be taken off it right away. Since then I've found success with one or two other medications.
